Exercises that strengthen eye sight, Practices harmful for eyesight

Followig practices cause much harm to eye sight. So avoiding these practices is mandatory.

  • Do not read books for a long time. Take pause in between.
  • When you wake up in the morning do not do any activity that could incur stress on eyes before taking breakfast.
  • When you feel lethargic and have recently been recovered from a lethal ailment, do not get into any activity that demands extensive use of eyes.
  • Avoid reading books having small font size.
  • Avoid using smart phone when in bed. Reading and using facebook while lying is harmful for eyesight.
  • Maintain a safe distance from galaring screen of laptop.
    • Avoid wandering in dirty and stinking places. Avoid taking naswar and tobacco.
    • Avoid dusty environment, smoke, hot and cold wind. Avoid too much sexual intercourse, eating to one’s fill, stale and indigestible food.
    • Avoid sleeping excessively for long periods. Avoid weaping and staring a source of dazzling light.
    • Do not do any writing work after 5 pm.
    • Donating blood excessively; eating spicy and sour food while suffering with fever weaken eye sight. Eating fried food, eggplants, masoor pulse and fried fish also weaken the eye sight.
    • Looking at woman’s private parts during sexual intercourse weakens the eye sight. This must be avoided.
    • Excessive blinking or twitching of eyes indicate that eyes need to take rest.
    • Never ignore the little issues like obnubilation or sudden dazzle. Sometimes these little issues may turn into serious disorders.
    • Children are in habit of moving to and fro while reading. Discourage this habit of theirs for it imparts negative effects on eyes.
    • Never come straight in to glaring light from a dark room. First rub your eyes a little and then come to the room where light is ample.
    • Apply in eyes the kohl mixed with rose water. Or let lumps of kohl remained soaked in rose water till kohl absorbs all the water. When all the rose water gets absorbed by the kohl, grind the kohl for applying in eyes.
